Representative Projects

Hurricane IKE ESF-10 Emergency Response

Allen & Associates served as the Marsh and Wetland Operations Planning Section Chief under an EPA-START agreement co-led by the US Coast Guard Gulf Strike Command.  We successfully provided the direction and management oversight on behalf of the EPA for the mandatory NEPA and Stafford Act compliance regulations.  Additionally, we prepared and coordinated with state and federal agencies for the removal of over 15,000 HAZMAT targets located in the wetland areas for the entire gulf coast of Texas.  

Historic Battlefield Parks at Morris and Folly Islands

This project in Charleston County, South Carolina brings conservation science into land use planning. Specifically, the project goal is to develop a science based land use master plan, while preserving the existing natural and cultural resources for future generations.

Mount Pleasant Wetland Park

The Mount Pleasant Wetland Interpretive Park is currently in the design phase. This project is a good example of our ability to incorporate the many talents and expertise of Allen and Associates.

Killian�s Crossing

Killian�s Crossing is a 411 acre project located in northeast Columbia, South Carolina. The site is proposed to be developed as a Live, Work, Play community adjacent to Interstate 77. Allen and Associates negotiated wetland impact mitigation with the US Army Corps of Engineers that was in excess of 2.4 million dollars. This constituted one of the largest private mitigation proposals in South Carolina.
